About Zhou EnLai Resience

The former site of the Communist Party of China Delegation Office in Shanghai, also known as the Zhou Mansion, is located at Nos. 73 and 71, Sinan Road, Shanghai. During the negotiations between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party from 1946 to 1947, Zhou Enlai worked and lived here. He also received Marshall, the special envoy of the US President, and exchanged views with representatives of the Kuomintang government, Shao Lizi and Wu Tiecheng, and representatives of the third party, Shen Junru and Huang Yanpei. In February 1979, after the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China submitted it to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for approval, the old site of the Communist Party of China delegation in Shanghai was restored, restored to its original appearance, and a memorial hall was built.
