About China Watermelon Museum
The China Watermelon Museum is the first museum in China with the theme of displaying watermelon culture. It is located in Pangezhuang Town, Daxing District, Beijing. Its architecture is inspired by "Flying Watermelon" and has a unique shape. The museum is divided into two exhibition halls, east and west. Through nearly 900 pictures, more than 140 waxy watermelon models, and more than 200 watermelon seed specimens, it systematically displays the origin and spread, cultivation technology, variety evolution, technology application and culture of watermelon. The display is scientific, professional, informative, cultural, and interesting. The museum was officially opened on May 28, 2004, which was held concurrently with the opening ceremony of the 16th Beijing Daxing Watermelon Festival.
