About Chengxing Milian County Government Former Site

The former site of Chengxing Milian County Government is located halfway up the mountain in Daling Village, Beizhuang Town, Miyun District, Beijing. It was established by the Hebei Reborder Special Committee in July 1943 and served as the command center for the anti-Japanese struggle in Chengde, Xinglong and Miyun counties. The old site relied on the dangerous terrain to establish a strict intelligence network, which defeated 11 Japanese sneak attacks and sieges. The existing tile-roofed buildings retain their original appearance during the Anti-Japanese War and are equipped with spinning wheels, earthen Kangs and other living facilities. After renovation in 2016, it was opened as a memorial hall with a two-story exhibition area displaying more than 500 historical materials of the Anti-Japanese War.
