About YUNNAN RAILWAY MUSEUM
The Yunnan Railway Museum is located at No. 913 Beijing Road, Kunming. It was built using the waiting room on the second floor of Kunming North Railway Station and a section of abandoned narrow track. It was officially opened in December 2004. The opening hours are 9:00-17:00 (ticket sales stop at 16:00), and it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The construction area is 7,963 square meters, and the exhibition area is 5,155 square meters. It has a collection of more than 10,000 cultural relics, documents, photos, etc., including 8 first-class cultural relics, 10 second-class cultural relics, and 123 third-class cultural relics. It mainly displays the development history of Kunming Railway and meter-gauge railway cultural relics.
