About Museum of Dongba culture
The Dongba Cultural Museum is located on the north side of the Black Dragon Pool Scenic Area in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. It was formerly the Lijiang County Museum established in 1984 and is affiliated with the Lijiang City Museum. The museum covers an area of 7 acres (approximately 4666.67 square meters). The building adopts the ancient Naxi "three lanes and one screen wall" and "four-in-five patio" pattern, forming an ancient building complex with a group courtyard as the main building belt, surrounded by thousand-year-old oak trees and spring and pond landscapes. There are more than 12,000 cultural relics in the collection, including 43 national first-class cultural relics and more than 2,500 Dongba cultural relics, covering Dongba hieroglyphic classics, sacrificial instruments, and production and living utensils.
