About Nyingchi Natural History Museum
Linzhi Natural History Museum is located on the top of Biri Mountain in Bayi District, Linzhi City, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is the third batch of key construction projects in Fujian Province with a total investment of more than 30 million yuan. Construction started in April 2003 and was completed and opened to the public in July 2004. It has a construction area of 3,479 square meters and an area of 1,200 square meters. The museum consists of a preface hall, a natural resources hall and a screening hall. It mainly displays the natural features, folk customs and animal and plant specimens of southeastern Tibet. It has the functions of scientific research and popular science education. It is Linzhi City's forest ecological science popularization education base and the city's first social science knowledge popularization base.
