About Chiang Kai-shek
Jiang Gong Temple is located at No. 123 Yu'er Road, Dali Ancient City, Yunnan Province. It is a complex of ancestral halls dedicated to Jiang Zonghan, a general of the Qing Dynasty. The building complex faces south and adopts the traditional "four-in-five-patio" layout of the Bai ethnic group, with existing structures such as gates, halls, main halls, and wing rooms. It was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Dali City in 1985 and upgraded to a cultural relic protection unit in Yunnan Province in 2019. Jiang Zonghan once served as the governor of Guizhou and donated money to build the Jinlong Bridge on the Jinsha River in Lijiang. The bridge was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2006. Jiang Gong Temple was fully restored in 2002 and converted into the Dali Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum in 2012.
