About Beijing Olympic Museum
The Beijing Olympic Museum is located at No. 1, National Stadium South Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing (ground zero and first floor below the south side of the National Stadium in the Beijing Olympic Center District). It covers a total area of 26,199 square meters. It is a permanent special museum with the theme of the Beijing Olympic Games. In 2007, it was proposed to build the Beijing Olympic Museum to maintain the characteristics of the Olympic Games. In 2012, the Beijing Olympic Museum exhibition was completed. On December 30, 2019, the Beijing Olympic Museum was fully opened. On December 1, 2021, the Beijing Olympic Museum will be closed for upgrades and renovations. As of 2019, the Beijing Olympic Museum has a collection of 2,577 pieces/set.
