About National Defense Education Center
The National Defense Education Center is located in the Nanjing National Defense Park Scenic Area at No. 87 Lijiang Road, Gulou District, Nanjing. It was completed and opened in July 1992. It is one of the eight national defense education theme park pilot units in the country. As a popular science education base and a patriotism education base in Jiangsu Province, the museum systematically displays the history of the army, weapons and equipment models, and historical facts of military wars in the Nanjing area through core exhibition areas such as the Chinese People's Liberation Army Military History Museum, Services and Arms Museum, and Diaoyu Island Sovereignty Museum. More than 200 weapon models are displayed in the museum, as well as retired large-scale weapons and equipment such as Dongfeng missiles and fighter jets.
