About Zhang Zhidong and Hanyang Steel Factory Museum
Zhang Zhidong and Wuhan Museum (Zhang Zhidong and Hanyang Iron Factory Museum) is located at No. 169 Qintai Avenue, Hanyang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It covers an area of about 1,000 square meters and is affiliated to the Hanyang Steel Plant of Wuhan Iron and Steel Group. It is a social science historical museum. In 2001, preparations for the construction of the Zhang Zhidong and Hanyang Iron Works Museum began; in the same year, the "Zhang Zhidong and Hanyang Iron Works Museum" (originally named exhibition hall) was completed; on March 27, 2018, the new Zhang Zhidong and Wuhan Museum officially opened after several expansions. As of the end of 2019, Zhang Zhidong and Wuhan Museum had 88 pieces/set of collections and 34 pieces/set of precious cultural relics. They had held 3 exhibitions, conducted 55 educational activities, and attracted 213,000 visitors.
