About Chongqing Jialing River Cableway Museum

Chongqing Jialing River Cableway Museum is a state-owned museum located at No. 2, Lane 1, Qinjian Road, Liangjiang New District, Chongqing (the former site of the Jialing River Cableway North Station), with the theme of displaying the history of the Jialing River Cableway. The museum was put into use on August 23, 2021. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00 (admission ends at 16:30). It is closed on Mondays and tickets are free. The Jialing River Cableway is China's first urban cross-river passenger cableway. It was completed and put into operation on January 1, 1982. After being demolished in December 2013, the original site of the north station building was retained. In March 2017, China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing was commissioned to plan and design the exhibition content to display the history of the ropeway through text, pictures, objects, etc.
