About Shandan Alley Memorial

Shandan Alley Memorial Hall is located at No. 732 Alley Avenue, Xincheng District, Shandan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province. It was built in memory of international friend Rewi Alley. The main building of the memorial hall adopts a combination of Chinese and Western styles and incorporates New Zealand cultural elements. It covers an area of nearly 40 acres (about 26,667 square meters) and has a construction area of 4,100 square meters. The basic display is the themed exhibition "Alley's Spirit Shines Forever", which is divided into ten units and comprehensively displays Alley's glorious life.
