About Tianjin Art Museum

Tianjin Art Museum is located at No. 60 Pingjiang Road, Hexi District, Tianjin. It was officially opened to the public on May 19, 2012, with a total construction area of 28,000 square meters. It was jointly designed by the German KSP Architects and the Tianjin Architectural Design Institute. The museum has four floors of exhibition halls with a display area of 9,000 square meters, including collections of Chinese paintings, oil paintings, sculptures, etc., and a collection of 1,106 pieces/sets of cultural relics, including works by artists such as Han Meilin and He Jiaying. The current building is built near the lake and is equipped with constant temperature and humidity display cabinets, a digital collection of paintings and facilities for the disabled. The museum was formerly known as the Tianjin Municipal Art Museum, which was established in 1929.
