About Pinghu Museum

The new Pinghu Museum is located at No. 999 Xinhua South Road, Danghu Street, with a total construction area of 36,000 square meters. It will be officially opened to the public during the "Pinghu Watermelon Lantern Art Festival" in September 2022. It covers a total area of 31.2 acres and is a comprehensive topography museum. On June 24, 1958, the Museum Preparatory Committee was established. On July 1, it was officially established and named Pinghu County Museum. In July 1969, the Pinghu County Cultural Center Theater Revolutionary Leading Group was established, and the museum was also managed by the library. In 1971, the museum took inventory of the cultural relics in its collection and established accounts and records. On April 20, 1978, the Pinghu County Museum opened a new chapter. On August 2, 1993, the Pinghu City Museum and the Manor Museum established separate leadership teams.
