About Zhu Shenghao's Former Residence

Zhu Shenghao's former residence is located at No. 73, Hexing South Road, Nanhu District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, China (formerly No. 14, Dongmi Pengxia, South Street, now part of the east part of Meiwan Street Historic District). It is the former residence of Zhu Shenghao, a modern translator and poet of Shakespeare's plays, in Jiaxing. It is a cultural relic protection unit in Jiaxing City. The former residence was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Jiaxing City in 1992. The renovation project was started in 2006, funded by the Municipal Urban Investment Group, and it was officially opened to the outside world in November 2007. Zhu Shenghao's son Zhu Shanggang donated family documents to the Shanghai Library at his former residence; in April 2025, a reading and sharing meeting for "The Critical Biography of Zhu Shenghao" was held at his former residence.
