About Xishuangbanna Natural History Museum
Xishuangbanna Natural History Museum is located in the Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve Administration Bureau on the outskirts of Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is the only natural museum and science education base with a tropical rainforest theme in the country. The museum started construction in 2003, was completed in 2004, and was officially opened to the public in January 2005. The museum has exhibition areas such as a preface hall, a film and television hall, magical tropical rainforests, natural zoos, elephant stories, harmonious coexistence between man and nature, animal skeletal structures, rich wildlife resources, rainforest crises, rainforest protection and artificial tropical rainforest landscapes in the atrium.
