About Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution
The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution, referred to as the "Military Museum", is China's only large-scale national-level comprehensive military museum. The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution is located at No. 9 Fuxing Road, Haidian District, Beijing, China, on the extension of Chang'an Street west of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It has a construction area of 159,000 square meters and an exhibition area of nearly 60,000 square meters. It is one of the top ten buildings in the capital dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the National Day and the first comprehensive military museum in China. In 1959, preparations were made for the establishment of the Military Museum; on March 12, 1959, with the approval of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China, it was officially named the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution.
