About Crossing the Yangtze River Museum
The Crossing the Yangtze River Museum was established on December 14, 2016. It is located at the Yuehan Wharf (formerly the crossing viewing platform) on the river bank in Hankou, Wuhan. The Russian-style architectural style and the flood control monument together form the central axis landscape of the river beach. The museum systematically displays the historical events of Mao Zedong's crossing of the Yangtze River and the development of the Wuhan River Crossing Festival through historical photos, physical exhibits and artistic creations. The museum has an interactive experience area and regularly holds cultural activities and temporary exhibitions. It will be temporarily closed in 2024 due to venue upgrades and preparations for the CCTV Spring Festival Gala branch venue.
