About Hefei Museum
Hefei Municipal Museum is the first municipal-level comprehensive museum since the founding of Hefei City. It is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Longgang Road and Binhe Road in the eastern new center of Yaohai District, Hefei City, Anhui Province, close to the north bank of Nanfei River. The museum covers an area of about 56 acres, with a total construction area of 55,000 square meters and a maximum height of 55 meters. The total investment is 845 million yuan and is scheduled to be completed in September 2025. The museum officially started construction on September 16, 2023. The main concrete structure will be capped in July 2024, and the first hoisting operation of the steel beams on the mid-roof will be started in August. The overall shape of the building is like the "Sail of Luzhou" riding the wind and waves.
