About UniversalBeijingResort

Universal Beijing Resort is located in Tongzhou District, Beijing, adjacent to the East Sixth Ring Road and the Beijing-Harbin Expressway. It is the third Universal Studios theme park in Asia and the fifth in the world. In 2001, the Beijing Municipal People's Government signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the American Universal Theme Park Resort Group. In 2013, it was approved by the State Council. In 2015, the "Joint Venture Agreement" was signed and the basic project started. In 2018, the main construction began. Trial operation began on September 1, 2021, and the park officially opened on September 20 of the same year. The first phase covers seven major theme scenic spots, 37 riding facilities, 24 performances and supporting hotels, and city avenues, with a total area of more than 4 square kilometers (the first phase covers an area of 159.57 hectares).
