About Dongguang Xiangshi Zoo

Dongguan Xiangshi Zoo is a national 4A-level tourist attraction located in Liaobu Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It was built with an investment of 350 million yuan by Dongguan Yuye World Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., covering a total area of 46.1 hectares. The park was put into trial operation in July 2010. It adopts a combination of free-range and ecological cages, and is equipped with a comprehensive performance hall, a dolphin performance hall, an elephant hall, a tiger park and other special exhibition areas. The park is being constructed in two phases: the first phase, with an investment of 200 million yuan, was planned for construction in March 2009 and completed in June 2010; the second phase is planned to add large recreational facilities. In 2016, it was severely warned by the National Tourism Administration due to management issues.
