About Wuhan zoo
Wuhan Zoo is located on the bank of Mohu Lake in Hanyang District, Wuhan City. The park covers an area of 640,000 square meters. It was formerly known as Wuhan Zhongshan Park Zoo. Wuhan Zoo is divided into three areas: front, middle and back. The front area is a land and water recreation area, the middle area is a wildlife exhibition area and is equipped with garden landscapes, and the back area is to be developed and constructed, with an animal breeding ground and a logistics base planned to be built. The plant base is evergreen trees, with camphor trees, pond fir trees, metasequoias and bamboos as the main features. There are more than 180 species of trees and flowers, nearly 80,000 trees, with a green coverage rate of 81.3%.
