About Liang Yuan
Liang Garden, also known as Liang Garden and Rabbit Garden, is a royal garden built by Liu Wu, King of Liang Xiao in the Western Han Dynasty, in the capital Suiyang (now Suiyang District, Shangqiu City, Henan Province). According to "Historical Records", it is "more than three hundred miles across", covering palaces, pavilions, rare birds and animals, Bailing Mountain, Yanchi and other landscapes, and its scale exceeds that of Shanglin Garden in the same period. King Xiao of Liang often hunted and feasted here, and recruited literati such as Mei Cheng and Sima Xiangru, forming the literary center of Liang Garden in the Han Dynasty. Although Liang Garden was abandoned in the Tang Dynasty, it still attracted poets such as Li Bai, Du Fu, and Gao Shi to visit. Li Bai wrote "Liang Yuan Yin" during his ten years living in Shangqiu, leaving behind the allusion of "a thousand gold buys a wall".
