About Hefei Cultural Center
Hefei Cultural Center was founded in 1949. It is a public welfare cultural institution established by the Hefei Municipal People's Government. It is affiliated to the Hefei Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau and is a national first-class cultural center. In 2021, it was recognized as one of the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative project protection units by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In May 2022, it was selected as "The Most Beautiful Public Cultural Space in Anhui Province in 2022". On September 20, 2025, the Cultural Center was moved entirely from the former site of the City God's Temple to the new building on Fangxing Avenue in Binhu New District and put into trial operation. Its architectural appearance is called the Hefei version of the "Bird's Nest".
