About Ghost Laughing Stone
Guixiao Stone is located at the foot of Baita Mountain in the Changhua Scenic Area of Xishan National Forest Park in Beijing. It is located in the mountain protrusion southeast of Xiangshan Guijianchou, with an altitude of 473 meters. It is named after the strong wind blowing through the cracks in the rocks, which produces a wind sound similar to the howling of ghosts and wolves. The main body of Guixiao Stone belongs to the sandstone of the Xingshikou Formation of the Late Triassic. It has formed a unique shape after long-term weathering. The irregular cracks on the rock surface form natural wind channels, which produce special sound effects when strong winds occur. As a scenic spot in Beijing, you can overlook many landmarks such as the Central Television Tower and the Summer Palace.
