About Memorial Hall of the Eighth Route Army Office in Xinjiang
The Memorial Hall of the Eighth Route Army Office in Xinjiang is located at No. 392 Shengli Road, Urumqi City, Xinjiang, China. It comprises both the former site and the memorial hall, covering a total area of 6,431 square meters, with the former site occupying 1,100 square meters and a building area of 503.6 square meters. In 1962, it was designated as a regional-level cultural relic protection unit (formerly known as the “Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall”), renamed to its current name in October 1965, and had its name inscribed by Dong Biwu in 1974. This hall is the most well-preserved and most representative of the 11 existing former sites of the Eighth Route Army offices nationwide.
