About Dongbaiyanggou Scenic Area
Dongbaiyanggou is a national AAA-level tourist attraction located in the southern suburbs of Urumqi, Xinjiang. Situated within the borders of Banfanggou Township in Urumqi County, it is 56 kilometers from the city center and covers an area of 334.4 hectares, making it an excellent destination for vacationing and summer escapes. This scenic area is part of an ancient glacial U-shaped valley, situated opposite Xibaiyanggou, with an average elevation of 2,050 meters. It is renowned for its natural pastures and as a popular summer retreat, and once housed accommodation facilities such as Luye Mountain Resort (which was officially closed down in 2019). The resort is open year-round, operating from 10:00 to 21:00.
