About Qinghai Tibetan Medicine Culture Museum
The Qinghai Tibetan Medicine Culture Museum is located at No. 36, Jing’er Road, Bio-Industrial Park, Xining City, Qinghai Province. Covering an area of 200 mu and boasting a building area of 12,000 square meters, it serves as a specialized museum dedicated to the field of social sciences related to Tibetan medicine. On May 1, 2007, the Qinghai Tibetan Medicine Culture Museum officially opened its doors. The museum’s collection includes fabrics, leather, stone, paper, metals, and other materials, and it features six major exhibition halls: the History of Tibetan Medicine, Mantang Instruments, Ancient Books and Documents, Tibetan Medicine Specimens, Astronomical and Calendar Studies, and Colorful Painted Views. By the end of 2019, the museum’s collection totaled 50,000 items/sets, with 1,020 precious cultural relics/sets.
