About Lion Dragon Palace Tourist Attraction

The Lion and Dragon Palace of King Gesar is located in Jianshe Township, Dari County, Goluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, 18 kilometers away from the county seat and at the foot of the hillside on the south bank of the Yellow River. The palace was rebuilt in 2013 and completed in 2019. It covers an area of 180 square meters and is about 40 meters high. It adopts a traditional Tibetan wood and stone structure and a glass tile roof, decorated with a spire and a gold-plated copper auspicious scale wheel. The main building consists of five floors, displaying the seated statue of King Gesar, statues of thirty generals, eighty Arhat statues and eighteen sect thangkas. The statues contain stupas, Buddhist scriptures and other religious relics.
