About White Cloud Mountain

The Fuan Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Fuan City, Fujian Province, within the borders of Muyun She Ethnic Township and Xiaoyang Town. It covers an area of 67 square kilometers and comprises five major scenic areas: Baiyun Peak, Jiulong Cave, Jinzhong Mountain, Huanglan Gorge, and Longting Gorge. The area is characterized by river valley stone mortar clusters, granite canyons, and volcanic rock landforms. The main peak, Muxian Peak, stands at an elevation of 1,450.2 meters. Baiyun Peak gets its name from the perpetual mist and clouds that envelop its summit, and it is renowned for its Buddhist light, sea of clouds, and sunrise views. At the summit, the “Heavenly Pool” is home to rare wild water lilies—also known as lotuses.
