About Tianmen City Tea Sage Hometown Park Scenic Area
Tianmen City is one of the three county-level cities directly under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province in China, and it is the hometown of the “Tea Sage” Lu Yu. Located in the central part of Hubei, on the Jianghan Plain, it enjoys a superior geographical location: it is connected to Jingzhou to the west, borders Wuhan to the east, and faces the Jianghan Golden Waterway to the south. The city covers an area of 2,622 square kilometers and has a population of 1.1586 million; within the economic development belt of the Yangtze River and the Han River, it possesses strong capacity for acceptance and radiation. In 2014, it was awarded the title of “China’s Most Eco-Competitive City.” The municipal people’s government is located in Jingling Street.
