About Autumn Moon on the Calm Lake 16

Autumn Moon on the Calm Lake is a natural landscape located in Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, covering an area of approximately 0.55 hectares. In the Southern Song Dynasty, it was listed as the third among the ten scenic spots of West Lake. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was also called "West Lake Night Moon" and was included in the ten scenic spots of Qiantang. Pinghu Qiuyue was first built in the Tang Dynasty; the Dragon King Temple was built in the Ming Dynasty; it was inscribed in the 38th year of Kangxi (1699); and it was rebuilt in 1980. Pinghu Qiuyue is an important part of the West Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou. It was rated as an AAAAA-level scenic spot in 2007, and was included in the World Heritage List in May 2013. It was included in the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2013.
