About Shifogou Scenic Area
Gansu Shifugou National Forest Park is located within Qilihe District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. It comprises three scenic areas: Shifugou, Qidao Liang, and Jianshan, with a planned total area of 6,376 hectares. Situated in the hilly and gully region of the Loess Plateau, Shifugou National Forest Park has a terrain that rises in the south and declines in the north, with an elevation of 3,124 meters (at Shuangju Mountain). The soil is primarily composed of mountain brown soil and gray calcareous soil, falling within a semi-humid, semi-arid climate zone. The park features temperate broadleaf forest vegetation, with a forest coverage rate exceeding 90%. It is home to 174 species across 64 genera in 29 plant families, more than 200 medicinal plants, and 79 species of wildlife.
