About The Green Lake Park
The Green Lake Park is a scenic area located in the central part of Kunming’s main urban district, at the western foot of Wuhua Mountain. It covers an area of 0.216 square kilometers, with approximately 0.06 square kilometers of land and about 0.123 square kilometers of water surface, boasting a volume of 151,000 cubic meters. The park is oval-shaped, measuring 675 meters long and 500 meters wide. To the south, The Green Lake Park overlooks Bi Ji, adjacent to the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Museum; to the north, it faces She Shan and borders Yunnan University; to the southwest, it connects with the former site of the Yunnan Army Military Academy. The park is known as “Green Lake,” thanks to its eight-sided waters, lush bamboo throughout all four seasons, and willows that flourish in spring and summer.
