About Memorial Museum of Lao she
The Lao She Memorial Hall is located at No. 19 Fufu Hutong, Dengshikou West Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing. It was originally the former residence of Lao She, known as the "Danshi Courtyard", and is an old-style Beijing courtyard. The gate of the memorial hall faces east, and a brick screen wall can be seen when entering. Two persimmon trees planted by Lao She and his wife in 1953 are preserved in the courtyard, which was named "Danshi Courtyard" by Hu Jieqing. The memorial hall is open from 9:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday all year round (admission is closed at 16:30). It is closed on Mondays and is free to visit. As of the end of 2022, the museum has a collection of 774 pieces/set, including 161 pieces/set of precious cultural relics, and receives 9,970 visitors annually. Implement a reservation system with a daily limit of 400 people.
