About Sword test stone
The Sword Testing Stone is a natural landscape in the Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area in Qianshan City, Anqing City, Anhui Province. It is located in the Zhaogongling area of Tianzhu Mountain National Geopark, close to the Chess Playing Stone. The stone is a solid piece of granite that looks like it has been split in half by a sword. According to old records, the landscape was named after the legend of Zhao Zhenren trying his sword. Modern geological research shows that the stone develops multiple groups of upright joints, and under the long-term action of external forces such as ice splitting and gravity, it splits along the joint plane to form straight cracks, which is consistent with the cause of the joints in most sword-testing stone landscapes across the country.
