About Baoshan Forest Park

Baoshan Forest Park is a provincial forest park established in 1993 with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. It is located in Zhangmutou Town, Dongguan City. It covers an area of 20,960 acres and consists of two tourist areas: Furong Temple and Jiudong. The park is dominated by the Baoshan Mountains and contains the famous Furong Temple, Longtan Waterfall and "Stone Urn Furong" landscape famous in the late Ming Dynasty. The latter is listed as one of the eight old scenic spots in Dongguan because water flows into the stone urn-shaped boulders to form rolling water splashes. The green corridor project in the park is 9.6 kilometers long, connecting Silokeng Reservoir and Furong Temple. There are public toilets, pavilions and other facilities along the way.
