About Great Fountain
Dashuifa Site is located in Haiyan Hall, Yuanmingyuan, No. 28, Qinghua West Road, Haidian District, Beijing. It is one of the ten scenic spots in Haiyan Hall. It was built between the 10th and 24th years of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1745-1759). The architecture is mainly based on the popular "Baroque" and "Rococo" styles in Europe, and at the same time incorporates traditional Chinese architectural construction techniques, becoming a model of the mutual exchange and influence of Chinese and Western garden cultures in the 18th century. There is a stone niche building in the north, with a water-spraying lion head installed on the central arch to form a waterfall.
