About Harmonic Amusement
Xieqiqu is the first European-style water-fabricated building complex in the Western Towers Scenic Area of Yuanmingyuan built in the 16th year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1751). It is located at the northern boundary of Changchun Garden. It was designed and supervised by Western missionaries such as Castiglione and Jiang Youren, and built by Chinese craftsmen. The main building is a three-story Baroque-style pavilion. There is a crabapple-shaped fountain in the south of the building, equipped with fountain devices such as copper sheep, bronze ducks and Western stonefish. There is a chrysanthemum-shaped fountain in the north of the building. The northwest water storage building uses a mule cart water pumping system to provide water.
