About Hill of Perspective Looking
Xianfa Mountain is the landscape site of the Western-style Building in the Old Summer Palace in the Qing Dynasty. It is located east of Dashuifa and west of Xianfahua in the Western-style Building Scenic Area of Changchun Garden, covering an area of 6,500 square meters. The main body is an artificial earth hill about 8 meters high. It is paved with 1.5 meters wide winding mountain roads on all sides, with yellow and green glazed low walls built beside the road. There is a double-eaves octagonal Western-style pavilion on the top of the mountain, overlooking the Dashuifa and Yuanying Guanshuifa landscapes. Emperor Qianlong once circled the mountain on a horse, so it is commonly known as the "Horse Turning Platform". There are Western-style archways on the east and west sides of the mountain.
