About Jiufeng Villa
Jiufeng Villa is a district-level cultural relic protection unit located west of Bei'anhe Village, Bei'anhe Township, Haidian District, Beijing. Jiufeng, formerly known as Xiufeng, is about 450 meters above sea level. It is a branch of the Yanshan Mountains. It is named because several ancient pines on the top of the mountain stand like male vultures. In the early years of the Republic of China, lawyer Lin Xinggui purchased the abandoned Ming Dynasty Xiufeng Temple, renovated it and renamed it "Jiufeng Villa". It was used as a summer resort and a place for poetry club activities.
