About Heart-turning stone

The Huixin Stone is located on the way from Qingkeping to Qianchizhuang in Huashan Scenic Area, Huayin County, southern Shaanxi Province. It is a giant rock with the three characters "Huixin Stone" engraved on it. It is impossible to verify when and who inscribed the stone here. Its name comes from the terrain characteristics and Taoist legends: because it is more than five kilometers away from the mountain gate, the slope is steep and the road is long, and people are already exhausted by this point. In addition, the vertical drop of the thousand-foot building in front reaches 70 degrees, and the mountain road is as dangerous and narrow as a thin line in the sky, so it becomes a psychological turning point for climbers. It is also said that two apprentices of the Yuan Dynasty Taoist He Zhizhen repented here and were named "Huixin Stone".
