About Memorial to the Five Ancestors
The Wugong Temple is located in Qiongshan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province. It is the oldest, largest and most abundant classical temple garden landscape building complex in Hainan. It is also the birthplace of Hainan’s relegation culture. It covers an area of more than 70 acres and was first built in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The Wugong Temple is divided into the ancient building area and the new hall area, which gradually decrease from south to north. The ancient building area is on the north side of the entire park, with higher terrain. The north side is a tourist route that gradually rises from west to east, which is also the dividing line between the two areas.
