About Wenshengjie Village
Dali Wensheng Street is located in Taiji Mountain Scenic Area, Midu County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It was called "Horse Food Shop" in ancient times. It was named after the imperial examination candidates stayed to practice martial arts and the caravans rested during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is located in the south of Midu. As an important post station on the Tea Horse Road, it connects Nanjian, Simao and Pu'er to the south, Yunnan Station to the east, Weishan Mountain to the west, Xiaguan to the north, Bonan Ancient Road to the left, and Tibet via Dali and Lijiang to the right. It is known as the "Throat of Six Zhaos" and is an important part of the Kainan Ancient Post Road. During the Republic of China, it was named "Wensheng Street".
