About Bangkok Grand Palace
The Grand Palace in Bangkok, also known as the Grand Palace, is the royal palace of the Thai (Siam) royal family. Close to the Chao Phraya River, it is a large-scale ancient building complex in the center of Bangkok, with a total area of 218,400 square meters. The Grand Palace was first built in 1782. After successive renovations and expansions by successive kings, this grand palace complex was finally built, which is still magnificent. The Grand Palace was built after the old palace in the old capital Ayutthaya. It is one of the many royal palaces in Thailand. It is the most perfectly preserved, largest and most ethnically distinctive palace in the past. The Bangkok dynasty from Rama I to Rama VIII all lived in the Grand Palace. The Grand Palace brings together the essence of Thai architecture, painting, sculpture and decorative arts.
