About sydney opera house
The Sydney Opera House (Sydney Opera House) is a performing arts center and a world cultural heritage located at Benelong Point in Sydney, Australia. The core area covers an area of 5.8 hectares, with the main body of the Sydney Opera House and Benelong Point as the core. In the late 1940s, under the impetus of conductor Eugene Goossens, Sydney began to prepare for the construction of a dedicated performing arts center. In 1956, the New South Wales state government in Australia held a design competition to solicit construction plans for the Sydney Opera House. Finally, the plan of Danish architect Jorn Utzon was selected in 1957. On March 2, 1959, the Sydney Opera House construction project officially started.
