About Gedalou

Geda Building is located at No. 283-295 Hebei Road, Heping District, Tianjin. It was built and sold by the British Business Xiannong Company in 1937. It is along Hebei Road to the west, Munan Road to the north, at the intersection of the two streets, and Racecourse Road to the south. The building was designed by Italian architect Paolo Bonetti and is part of the modern building complex of Tianjin's Five Avenues. It is a four-story brick-wood structure row house with a building area of 6449.42 square meters and a strong Italian style. The exterior walls are made of "knot bricks" that have been fired in the kiln. The bricks have a unique rough and concave texture due to excessive heat. In 2013, they were listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units. The original property rights of the building involved Tong Guangzong, Yang Weichen and others. No.
