About Mirrored Mingqin

The Jingjing Mingqin is one of the forty scenes of the Old Summer Palace in the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of the south bank of Fuhai, with a total length of about 600 meters from east to west and a width of 50-100 meters from north to south. It covers an area of 40,000 square meters, including the construction area of Chunhe Town, which is 1,600 square meters. The main building is a bridge pavilion with double eaves and four slopes across the water. The pavilion hangs a plaque inscribed by the emperor in the fourth year of Qianlong's reign (1739), "Clamping the Mirror to Ming the Qin". Its name comes from Li Bai's poetic meaning of "two waters sandwiching a mirror". The Fuhai in the north of Qiaodong and the inner lake in the south of Qiao form a "mirror" pattern, as well as the "singing harp" sound of the water from the cliff waterfall on the east side hitting the stone.
