About Hui Fong College
Huifang Academy is one of the forty scenic spots in the Old Summer Palace in the Qing Dynasty. It was built in the seventh year of Qianlong's reign (1742). It is located in the northwest corner of the garden, south of the purple mountain house and east of Hongci Yonghu, covering an area of about 1,600 square meters. The building complex has a crescent-shaped layout, facing water on three sides. The main body includes Shuzaoxuan (built-in stage), Hanyuanzhai, etc. In the southeast, there is an open hall "Wenjin" and a stone archway imitating the "Broken Bridge and Remaining Snow" landscape of West Lake in Hangzhou. Emperor Qianlong inscribed a plaque and wrote a poem included in "Ode to Forty Scenes of the Old Summer Palace". As a newly built academy-style garden during the Qianlong period, its functions include cultural education and leisure and viewing.
