About Lots of crops like clouds
Duojia Ruyun is one of the forty scenes of the Old Summer Palace. It is located on the north side of the garden, northeast of Huifang Academy and west of Yu Yue Yuan Fei. It was first built during the Yongzheng period and was originally named Guanjiaxuan. In the third year of Qianlong (1738), it was renamed "Duo Jiaoxuan". The scenic area covers an area of 1,050 square meters and is divided into two areas: the south area is dominated by lotus ponds, for emperors and queens to enjoy lotuses; the north area has two courtyards, with the front hall "Hexiang" as the main site for viewing lotus, and the back hall hangs a plaque inscribed by Emperor Qianlong with "Many crops are like clouds" and a throne for rest. Its name is taken from a poem by Lu You, which is characterized by rice fields and lotus scenery. It has both farming style and royal landscape.
